Without delving into any particular religion, the concept of Angels exist in lore and literature, even if the actual supernatural beings may not. Angels are sent by God to do good things—protect, rescue and provide. According to the same texts, God is the all-powerful creator, and God created Angels. God is Love.
Therefore, Love is all-powerful, Love is the creator and Love creates Angels.
I once had the opportunity to help a family who were stranded in their van in the parking lot of the grocery store near my home. What bothered me most was that they had been there for three days, and while this was my first time getting groceries since their battery died there were hundreds if not thousands of cars that came and went in that time and no one else stopped to help.
I was brought up in a religious home and I remember saying a prayer with my parents when we saw someone in need of help on the side of the road. God would send them an Angel, and we were late for church.
I couldn’t leave that family. I didn’t know them personally, but they were people and that was enough. That’s “living in love,” at least as I see it.
So that day, love made me an Angel. And the most amazing part is that being an Angel feels so good.
If you’re always keeping an eye out for someone you can help, whatever you have to do that day doesn’t really get the spotlight. After all, what we do for work and what we do to survive are not who we are, and it’s the relationships we share with one another that make all the difference.
